★This is Canal Street on a rainy night. This night was my first experience of a New Orleans rainstorm. It felt magical I remember, all those lights bouncing around on the pavement. So few people walking around. It must have been after the holidays, even though a low season in New Orleans is quite hard to imagine. This day felt like that, it felt like I had the city to myself. I don’t recall where I was walking and even though I’ve kept 99.99% of all my photos I only have but a few from this night. As if I had been drawn to come to the city and all felt right.
